Parents are welcome to sign up to be a volunteer in the Byam School library. You may volunteer at your child’s library time, or another time if that is not convenient. Parents usually help out by checking books in and out, and re-shelving books. You do not have to commit to volunteering every week; several parents may volunteer on alternating weeks, and this is usually the case.
If you are interested, please e-mail me at barrettb@chelmsford.k12.ma.us with your name, phone number (home and/or cell), and preferred volunteer time(s). I will then contact you to set up a starting date.
Please remember that if you have not already done so, you will be asked to fill out a CORI form before volunteering in the school. Also, please note that it is not possible for younger children to come in with you during your volunteer time.
