Cops for Kids with Cancer and the Chelmsford Police present $5,500 to support 6‑year‑old Tyler Bolger and his family

Six-year-old Tyler Bolger marked a major milestone last week when he returned to Byam Elementary School for the first time since being diagnosed with B‑cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia on Jan. 10.

After months of treatment at the Dana‑Farber Cancer Institute and Boston Children’s Hospital, Tyler’s return to the classroom was already a moment worth celebrating — and the day only grew even more memorable.

Following school, Tyler visited the Chelmsford Police Department with his parents, Matt and Jenn, and his sisters, Reese and Reagan. During a tour of the station, where he met officers and spent time with K9 Ozzie, the family was surprised with a $5,500 donation from Cops for Kids with Cancer and the Chelmsford Police to support them as Tyler continues treatment.
